All ages are invited to join the meeting of the Delaware Valley Chess Club in the Winsor Room at RML.
There are those who come to play every Wednesday... and then there are those who will want to learn this timeless game. Please come to play and/or learn to play chess at the meeting. You can voice your preferences for rated tournaments, and/or relaxed play.
Most kids are ready to learn to play chess between the ages of 6 and 8... even younger!
In recent years, studies have shown that playing chess can improve cognitive abilities, particularly in young developing brains. Seasoned players who have been playing chess in the Winsor Room every Wednesday will love the challenges of playing the younger players.
Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
