Delaware Valley Chess Club meets at RML, weekly on Wednesdays. All levels and ages are invited to come and play chess. The club provides a free and relaxed environment to play and learn. Come join us if you are interested in tournament play, free lessons, or just a relaxed afternoon with a cup of coffee and a few relaxed games.
There is no requirement to join the club.
There are those who come to play every Wednesday... and then there are those who will want to learn this timeless game. Please come to play and/or learn to play chess at the meeting.
Did you know...
Most kids are ready to learn to play chess between the ages of 6 and 8... even younger!
In recent years, studies have shown that playing chess can improve cognitive abilities, particularly in young developing brains. Seasoned players who have been playing chess in the Winsor Room every Wednesday will love the challenges of playing the younger players.
Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
