Sunshine to Snowfall: Glorious Landscape Paintings

People of all ages are fascinated with weather conditions and celestial occurrences. Throughout time, artists have been drawn to record and interpret the seasons, time of day and night, and atmospheric states that bring nature in all of its glory and terror into view. Get ready to explore how paintings of sunlight, fog, wind, and snow, in historical to contemporary paintings, can make us want to bask in the glow or shiver from the cold. A diversity of artists including Pippin, Wyeth, O’Keeffe, and Van Gogh and art movements will be covered. Short, related videos add a new perspective to our conversation-style session.

Lynn Berkowitz, MFA, BFA, with a career in art museums and online learning, has developed an array of award-winning gallery tours, experiences, and apps aimed at helping audiences of all ages and abilities engage with a diversity of art ‘isms and approaches.
