Octopus Sculpture and Ocean Plastics Stories
Kindergarten thru 5th grade students are invited to join us at 11 a.m. for stories Ducks Overboard and The Mess That We Made. Learn what we can do together to SAVE OUR OCEANS! Following the stories, we will begin to construct a giant octopus sculpture using recycled plastics. Join us right at the start OR drop in for an hour that works for your busy Saturday schedule to help with this STEAM project between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Prior the event we will be collecting CLEAN and DRY USED clear plastics, USED shiny fabrics, USED mylar balloons, colorful bottlecaps, etc. Please, nothing new!
This event will be held outdoors weather permitting, but if weather brings us inside, masking will be required. Interested teens can contact Ms. Lori if they would like to help younger students with glue guns.
