Plant and Tree Connection with Marple Public Library & Greener Partners Farm Explorer
Greener Partners is delighted to bring the Farm Explorer, a farm on wheels, to Marple Public Library inspired by and in support of Longwood Garden Community Read 2022 book selection, We Planted a Tree. With +20 edible plants to explore, the Farm Explorer offers a delightful, sensory experience for children and families. We will help students make connections between the plants they see on the Farm Explorer and the trees that provide us with sustenance, shade, shelter, and more. We will continue to have a most exceptional time exploring trees as nature’s great connectors. Our spring bounty includes all kinds of greens, roots, and herbs to taste and smell. Plus, children can ride the smoothie bike, powering a Vitamix blender to create their own smoothies. Join us for one-of-a-kind, hands-on fun with Miss Mel and our stupendous Greener Partners Farm Explorer Educators.
*Recommended Ages: 5-11 (accompanied by parent(s) and/or guardian(s))
* Registration Required: Please register all children (ages 5-11) individually (First and last name). Adults accompanying children for the program need not register.
