What's It Worth? - Virtual! (Appraisal Program)

What's It Worth? - Virtual! (Appraisal Program)

Find a treasure in your home and have it appraised online by John Thompson, an antiques dealer who has been in the business for more than 40 years.

You must have an e-mail address and one item for appraisal to participate and attend. Upon registration, you will receive detailed instructions about how to take and e-mail photos of your item to the library. Your photos will be shown and discussed during the program. The librarian will assign a number to identify your item and help protect it and your anonymity. Only your photos and assigned number will be shared with the presenter, not your personal information.

No appraisals of guns or Nazi memorabilia.

An oral appraisal is based on how the piece looks, its condition, whether it is part of a set (plus several other factors not always immediately apparent at the presentation), and what it might sell for in today's antique market. An oral appraisal is not to be used for appraisals that must be done in writing for insurance or estate purposes.

Registration will be open until May 3 at 7:00 p.m. (two days before the show) or until filled.

You will receive the presentation's Zoom link on May 4, the day before the program.

Presented by Rochelle Christopher and John Thompson of Victorian Vanities.
