Book Talk with Charles Fergus

Book Talk with Charles Fergus Online

Pennsylvania native Charles Fergus, author of seventeen nonfiction books, including Make a Home for Wildlife and Trees of Pennsylvania and the Northeast, has recently released the second in a mystery series set in 1830s Central Pennsylvania featuring a Pennsylvania Dutch sheriff named Gideon Stoltz.  The first book in the series, A Stranger Here Below (2019), garnered significant acclaim, with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Geraldine Brooks noting that the book was “deeply imagined and intricately plotted historical fiction with the urgency of a mystery novel."  Nighthawk's Wing, the second book in the series, was just released last month and received a prestigious starred review from Publishers Weekly.

Join us for a conversation with Mr. Fergus as we explore the connections between nonfiction and fiction writing.  Register to receive the Zoom link.
