In Goya's Kingdom Online

Once upon a time there was a Spanish Kingdom.  Embark on a trip with the royal painter Francisco Goya!  Join the King of Spain and his family on a lovely trip to the country side and create your own royal picnic meal!

In this 2 part virtual class you'll take a journey to Spain through the artwork of Francisco Goya and learn about some of his famous paintings. Then, using common household materials (see list below) make a craft inspired by one of Goya's paintings. (Parental guidance required for craft portion to ensure safe usage of craft tools and materials).

Materials list:

  • Play doh in various colors
  • Cardboard aprroximately 7 x 9 inches (cereal boxes work great)
  • Scraps of colored paper
  • Jar lids from mayo, jam or peanut butter jars
  • Paper towel tube
  • Scotch tape
  • Small scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons (otional)
  • 2-3 wild flowers like dandelions (optional)
