Today, Miss Mel will be reading the inspiring artistic book, ‘Funny Bones: Posada and His Day of the Dead Calaveras’ written and illustrated by Duncan Tonatiuh. Through our book today we will be learning about the Mexican artist, Jose Guadalupe Posada and how his prints and drawings have become synonymous with Mexico’s Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead). Dia de Muertos is a Mexican Holiday which celebrates, honors, and remembers our ancestors and those who have left earth, but are forever in our hearts.
