Teen Reading Lounge - VIRTUAL
Teen Reading Lounge (TRL) is an award-winning, nontraditional book club for teens in grades 7-12, also described as a book club on steriods! We will be reading books & articles, listening to podcasts & music, and using the visual arts to reflect on and discuss concerns that teens face. The choices of what to read, listen to, or view will be made in collaboration with the group members. Through TRL teens will be able to explore issues of social justice through the humanities. Part of the program includes working with peers on a civic engagement project. This cycle runs for 8 weeks, starting Tuesday, June 16th, 2020.
All sessions will be held through an online meeting platform. Register below and we'll send you more information about how to connect virtually.
