The Life and Times of Louis Armstrong - Music Presentation
The Life and Times of Louis Armstrong
Learn and have fun with a one-hour educational presentation on renowned Jazz vocalist and trumpeter, Louis Daniel Armstrong!
Bob Stankard, well-known Philadelphia area entertainer, will bring Louis Armstrong to life as he presents his one man show, singing and playing trumpet reminiscent of Armstrong’s style. Bob delivers an informative narrative of Armstrong’s life along with a multi-media show detailing the highlights of Armstrong’s rags to riches career; going from an abandoned New Orleans street waif supporting himself by singing and dancing for tips in the segregated deep South, to becoming the first mass media black crossover entertainer in America and the world.
