Big Band Holiday with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra
The library will provide light refreshments for you to enjoy along with a viewing of a great concert featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra led by Wynton Marsalis.
Every December, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis brings this Grammy Award–nominated holiday extravaganza to Rose Theater for a series of sold-out shows. With soulful big band arrangements of songs both sacred and secular, Big Band Holidays is an uplifting tradition enjoyed by audiences of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to some swinging JLCO instrumentals, special guest vocalists Cecil McLorin Salvant, Gregory Porter and Rene Marie join the band for imaginative new versions of classics like “White Christmas” and “Merry Christmas, Baby.”
