Join us for a fun celebration in honor fo the Coretta Scott King Book Award's 50th Anniversary!

We'll be celebrating 2014's John Steptoe Award for New Talent Winner, "When the Beat Was Born: DJ Kool Herc & the Creation of Hip Hop"

Hip Hop Fundamentals will put on a performance that combines breakdancing, history, music & fun!

We'll have a read aloud of the book and a chance to learn how beats are made. Pizza, drinks & snacks will round out this fun Sunday evening celebration!

All ages are welcome!
