Darby Library Science Laboratory
In cooperation with NASA, the Darby Free Library has instituted a science lab. Some weeks we observe specimens from the unseen world of biology through two, quality optical microscopes. Our participants learn how to properly use an optical microscope to observe specimens. These specimens are chosen from across the biological spectrum, like medicine, botany, entomology, zoology, etc. This laboratory is an excellent introduction to the vast field of biology.
When the weather permits, we observe our Sun and universe with a NASA telescope. During the daylight, we observe Sunspots. This astronomy
