Managing Stormwater Using Rain Barrels

A rain barrel is a storage container connected to a downspout that captures stormwater runoff from a building’s roof. You can use the stored water for your non-edible plants or outdoor cleaning, reducing your water consumption and managing stormwater runoff at the same time! At this workshop, attendees will learn the basics of installing and operating a rain barrel for their residential use.

One rain barrel will be given away to an attending participant in the workshop. You will need to be able to fit it in your vehicle.
