As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly for a discussion of one of Philadelphia's most historic families, The Chews.
An accomplished speaker specializing in American History, Jim’s presentation is the third in a series of 3 lectures at The Finley House throughout the ‘Semiquin’ summer of 2026.
From their arrival in Jamestown in 1622 to their migration north to Philadelphia over the next century, the Chew family's circle of historic relationships includes William Penn, George Washington, John Adams & other prominent Founding Fathers. The impact of those relationships continues to be felt today.
Homemade ice cream, ginger cookies and lemonade will be served!
