Secret Lives of Moths: Pollination After Dark

Who does the most pollinating? Are moths butterflies? Are butterflies moths? Over the last few years, we’ve learned a lot about how other insects, including those that are active at night, are contributing to pollination of our crops and wild plants. These nighttime flyers are affected by all of the artificial lighting we have around our houses and roads. Come learn about these creatures and how you can help them.

Presented by Media resident Dr. Woody Kotch, a local ambassador for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation. His presentations are always informative and entertaining.

The Xerces Society is an international nonprofit organization that protects the natural world through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitats.
