Ben East, author of Profiles in Service (2026)

Wednesday, June 24, 2026  6:30pm

Winsor Room

In partnership with Radnor Historical Society

Join author and former State Department official Ben East for a discussion of the Peace Corps as a path to personal development and career opportunity. Ben will explore how service developed the leadership, cross-cultural communication, and diplomatic skills that influenced the careers of eighty future U.S. ambassadors, based on research from his recent book, Profiles in Service: Peace Corps Roots in American Diplomacy. Ben will share views on today’s Peace Corps, the Foreign Service, and the writing life.

Refreshments will be served.

For 250 years, our Nation’s proud traditions of volunteerism, generosity, and service to others have shaped our character, molded our spirit, and fortified our way of life.  On this 65th anniversary of the founding of the Peace Corps, we celebrate the nearly 250,000 volunteers who have carried that proud legacy forward with unyielding charity, goodwill, dedication, and devotion to the American promise.
