Comets, Clues, and Our Cosmic Story

Join for a hands-on way to explore our cosmic origins—as part of #CitizenScienceMonth.

We’re teaming up with @SciStarter for Acts of Science: Connected, a special Citizen Science Month event where communities everywhere take action together. You’ll meet the scientist behind #citizenscience project Rubin Comet Catchers and help scan real images from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory for hidden, active comets. Every comet you help identify contributes to research on the origin of Earth’s water, life’s building blocks, and how planetary systems form—including our own. No prior astronomy experience needed!

Patrons will need to bring their own devices
