Series 1 - April 9& 16 - LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR by Donizetti
The recording features a stellar cast of Joan Sutherland, probably the greatest coloratura soprano of the last century in the role that brought her into fame; Luciano Pavarotti, one of the greatest tenors of the last century, and Sherrill Milnes and Nicolai Ghaurov two outstanding basses and baritones of international fame.
The plot involves love, hate and of course death. What else can one expect from opera ?!
