British Mysteries Book Club - The Girl from Greenwich Street by Lauren Willig
Do you love British Mysteries? I know I do! I love reading them and watching them on Acorn and Britbox. Each month we will read a British Mystery, in particular one that has been made into a TV show or movie. Already read it? Watch the show and discuss with us the differences. Already read it, but forgot what it was about? Re-read it and join us for some great conversation and community!
These stories about the most talented British sleuths are always entertaining and each us at the edge of our seats!
The Zoom Link will be sent to you two hours before the meeting.
This month we will be reading The Girl from Greenwich Street
The Girl from Greenwich Street by Lauren Willig is a historical fiction novel based on the true story of America's first murder trial, involving the 1799 murder of Elma Sands in Manhattan. The book follows bitter rivals Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr as they are forced to work together to defend the accused, carpenter Levi Weeks, in a sensational trial that becomes a political spectacle. It's a blend of murder mystery, thriller, and true crime, focusing on the historical figures and the forgotten woman at the center of the case.
