Threaded: Modern Canvas Art
Threaded: Modern Canvas Art is a creative art program where participants explore a contemporary twist on traditional embroidery by “painting” with thread on canvas. Attendees will learn basic techniques such as transferring a design, threading needles, starting and finishing stitches, and using color, texture, and layering to create expressive, modern artwork.
Participants will choose from simple patterns or create their own abstract or minimalist designs, then use embroidery floss to fill in shapes and lines on prepped canvas. The program emphasizes creativity over perfection, encouraging experimentation with color palettes and stitch styles.
