Design It! Introduction to TinkerCAD – Part 2
This hands-on children’s program builds on the skills learned in the introductory Tinkercad session. Participants will use their knowledge of basic shapes, resizing, grouping, and alignment to design a simple 3D object of their choice—such as a keychain, name tag, game piece, or small figurine.
Librarians will briefly review core Tinkercad tools, then guide children through the design process while encouraging creativity and problem-solving. At the end of the session, each child will submit their finished design to be 3D printed by the library. Printed objects will be available for pickup at a later date, giving participants the exciting experience of seeing their digital designs turned into real-world creations.
This program reinforces STEM skills, introduces the full design-to-manufacturing process, and empowers children to apply what they’ve learned in a fun and tangible way.
