26th Annual Chanticleer Lecture - Lessons from Landscape: Designing for a Mediterranean Climate
Join JAMES BASSON, award-winning landscape designer and founder of Scape Design, for an inspiring talk on creating gardens rooted in the lessons of natural landscapes. Based in the South of France, James is renowned for his ecologically sensitive approach blending drought-resistant plants and local materials into sustainable, dry-climate gardens.
Drawing from his book Les Jardins Secs, James will explore how perennial plants in the Mediterranean climate of the Alpes-Maritimes adapt to prolonged drought, and how these strategies can inform the future of planting design. With accolades including gold medals at the Philadelphia and Chelsea Flower Shows, James brings a wealth of experience and vision to reimagining gardens that are both resilient and beautiful.
Books will be available for purchase at the event. Registration required.
