Scratch Circuits (Children)

Join us at the library for an exciting, hands-on program where kids become junior engineers! In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of electric circuits by creating their own reusable circuit tiles using cardboard, wires, batteries, and LEDs.

Kids will explore how electricity flows and how to connect components to make lights turn on, build switches, and even create simple series and parallel circuits. This is a fun and creative way to learn about science, technology, and design—no prior experience needed! Ages 7+

Activities Include:

  • Designing and building circuit tiles with simple materials

  • Learning how to connect LEDs, batteries, and switches

  • Experimenting with series vs. parallel circuits

  • Discovering how electricity powers the world around us
