Revolutionary Reads Book Discussion and Art Chat at Brandywine Museum of Art
Join fellow art and history enthusiasts for an afternoon of Revolutionary Reads at the Brandywine Museum of Art featuring a book discussion and art chat.
First, join local historians Jordan Smith, PhD, and Jim Segrave-Daly for a conversation about this year’s selection, The Painter’s Fire: A Forgotten History of the Artists Who Championed the American Revolution by Zara Anishanslin. Coffee and light fare will be available for purchase at the Millstone Cafe during the book discussion.
Then, enjoy a lively discussion of paintings featuring historic events on display from the Museum’s core collection. Led by Museum Educator Liesl Mahoney, participants will observe works of art and share their own unique perspectives. Stools will be available for seating for those who want it.
Registered participants will enjoy complimentary admission to the Museum. If you would like to arrive early to visit more of the museum, you will be required to pay regular admission.
Registration is required at the link below.
This event is part of the 2025 Revolutionary Reads Community Read. Meet the author on Wednesday, October 15, at 6:30pm at Widener University! More information and registration available at www.delcolibraries.org/revolutionary-reads.
