Teen Volunteer Preptime for STEM Sparks WORK Days at Middletown Free Library 6:00-8:00PM
Are you a teen (ages 13-17) and trying to get credit for the Science National Honor Society?
The STEM Sparks club at Middletown Free Library is holding work days to assemble science crafts in preparation for Children's Chess and Logic Puzzle Club with STEM Sparks days. Come to the Middletown Free Library from 6:00-8:00PM on select Wednesdays and help assemble, cut, paste, clean and prepare.
Students MUST REGISTER beforehand as space is limited. We cannot accommodate students on the Waitlist at this time.
Check in at the Main Circulation Desk and mention STEM Sparks Work Days.
Tasks involved may include:
-organizing and cleaning up materials for children's programs,
-shelf-straightening books,
-spraying and wiping tables,
-sweeping throughout the library,
-cleaning carpets,
-assembling craft materials, cutting, pasting, and organizing supplies.
No Cell Phone Usage during volunteering time. All volunteers are expected to respect library rules, such as following directions, being polite, and maintaining a quiet atmosphere in the library.
Teens only, ages 13-17.
As a reminder, all volunteers aged 18 and up MUST have volunteer clearance paperwork.
We cannot accept volunteers who are aged 18 and over who do not have volunteer clearance paperwork. We cannot accept students who are doing court-ordered community service for this volunteer opportunity.
