Banned Book Group | Interest Meeting

Quarterly Book Group

Some of the greatest literature in the world has been banned by schools, activist groups, and even laws. Why? What don't they want us to see? Come explore some of the widely banned topics and authors with this fun quarterly book group. Each quarter we'll choose a theme and have a list of banned books to choose from. Each participant can choose one, and then will have three months to read it before the next meeting. At each meeting, readers will take turns talking about the book they read, including why it was banned and the impact it's had. Readers will get the chance to discuss these books with other teens and reach their own conclusions as to why something gets banned and what their response to that should be.

This group is limited to teens aged 14+
