Newbie Tuesday: Mah Jongg
Looking to Play American Mah Jongg?
This group is perfect for players who know the basics, and follow the NMJL rules.
Come and sharpen your skills in a friendly, low-pressure setting. You choose if you want to play at the Newbie tables, or at the medium-pace tables of 25 - 35 minutes per game, or the fast tables of 15 - 25 minutes per game. The non-Newbie tables rotate out East so that you have the chance to play and socialize with different people.
If you need to learn how to play, sign up for an intro class; unfortunately, this is not the venue for beginners' instruction, rather for supervised play for those who have taken a class.
No need to be an expert—just bring your card, your love of the game, and your enjoyment in meeting new people. Playing starts at 1:00, come early if you want to help set up the tables.
