JLCL CLOSED for Primary Election
The J. Lewis Crozer Library will be closed on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, for Pennsylvania’s Primary Election. We will reopen on Wednesday, May 21 at 9:00 AM.
Here is your last-minute voting checklist:
Voter Registration:
The deadline to register or change your party affiliation was May 5. You can still check your registration status online. Pennsylvania has a closed primary system—only registered Democrats and Republicans may vote for their party’s nominees. However, all registered voters may vote on ballot questions or special elections in their district.
Mail & Absentee Ballots:
The deadline to apply was Tuesday, May 13 at 5:00 PM.
Completed ballots must be received (not postmarked) by 8:00 PM on Election Day, May 20.
If you're unable to mail your ballot in time, hand-deliver it to your county election office or secure drop box.
Voting In Person:
Polls are open 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM. If you're in line by 8:00 PM, you have the right to vote.
Find your polling place using the Delaware County Polling Place Finder.
First-Time Voters:
If it is your first time voting at your current address, bring a valid ID. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, U.S. passport, utility bill, or student/military ID. View the full list on vote.pa.gov.
Voting After Requesting a Mail Ballot:
Bring your ballot and return envelope to the polls to vote in person. If you don’t have it, you can still vote using a provisional ballot.
