Books 'N Ballet at Middletown Free Library 11:00AM all about Gardening!

Books 'N Ballet at Middletown Free Library 11:00AM all about Gardening!

This Books N Ballet Class will be all about flowers and gardening!! We will be reading books about planting flowers and doing a special reading of the Longwood Gardens Community Reads Book, The Extraordinary Gardener.  We will also do a movement activity involving felt "seeds," paper flowers, and flowing scarves.  We will also dance to beautiful garden-theme related music like the "Waltz of the Flowers" and "Le Jardin Anime."  Join us for this fun, garden-related movement experience!

Join Miss Libby for a literacy and movement experience at the Middletown Free Library from 11:00-11:30AM!  We will read some picture books about topics like: dance/movement/animals/colors/seasons/shapes/etc., and learn some classical and contemporary dance terminology.  Activities vary but can include rhythm, balance, and movement activities, coordination challenges, stretching, improvisation, props, and more! Wear your ballet slippers, sneakers, or bare feet, and some clothes you can dance in!  Ballet costume/attire is not required, but is definitely welcome.

Class will be held in the Roosevelt Community Center.  See the MFL Library Circulation Desk for the exact classroom location.

Registration is REQUIRED as space is limited. All genders welcome! Best for ages 3-6, but siblings welcome.
