Heinz Wildlife Refuge Guided Bird Walk

Heinz Wildlife Refuge Guided Bird Walk

Come to the library to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day. Learn at the library about the easy-to-see migratory birds at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge. Then we’ll move the discussion over to the Heinz Refuge in our own vehicles, where an experienced Lansdowne birder will help you enjoy these beautiful birds in person.

Because this event is off site there are a few important things to remember -

- You will need to fill out a waver which is available to download below

- The library will not be providing transportation

- Registration is recommended but not required

- Children are welcome but must be with a guardian

- The trip may be canceled due to weather

- Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking outdoors

- Bring a filled reusable water bottle

- Binoculars are not necessary but could be helpful
