Thursday Knitting Circle
Join us for our first knitting circle this month! Led by experienced knitter and fellow library patron, Susan Huske, we will welcome new or inexperienced knitters who would like to learn some basic knitting skills, though registration at Ridleylibrary.org is required for knitters looking to learn and you must acquire your own supplies. For new knitters, Susan's recommendations include: bamboo needles are best to learn, but metal or plastic are ok, size 8 needles are most common. She would not advise starting out with circular needles. She also recommends starting out with size 4 or 5 yarn (usually says it on the package). Not fuzzy or intricate yarn- just so you can see what you are doing.
Experienced knitters and crocheters need not register, feel free to just come with your own supplies and join the circle!
