Special Story Time: Women's History Month

Special Story Time: Women's History Month

Come join us for a special Women's History Month children's event!

Lansdowne's Mayor Magda Byrne will be reading a special story titled A Vote for Susanna The First Woman Mayor.  This true story, written by Karen Greenwald, tells the story of Susanna Salter.  Salter was elected as mayor of Argonia, Kansas in 1887.

In addition to the special story time, we'll have a picture of Mayor Salter on display, as well as a letter from Salter written about her experience as mayor.

The book is written with 4-8 year old girls in mind, but all children - ages 4 and up - are welcome to attend this inspirational event.
