Prom Dress Giveaway
Teens needing a prom dress, but worried about the sticker price, will be getting some help from the Ridley Township Public Library. The library is hosting its fourth annual Prom Dress Giveaway on February 1st from 5pm-7pm and February 2nd from 11am-3pm. Teens will be able to come to the library and pick out dresses, shoes, and accessories they might otherwise not be able to afford.
There is no registration required and anyone can come to the event to browse all of the available items. Changing areas will be available.
Using donated new and like-new items from the community, so far the library has collected many dresses, as well as dressy shoes, jewelry, and handbags.
Donations of lightly worn, fairly new formal dresses, shoes, handbags and jewelry are still being accepted. We ask that all dresses be of a recent style, clean and in good condition. Items are being accepted until January 29th and may be brought to the circulation desk during any of their open hours.
