Grief Support Group at Middletown Free Library
During the many discussions we have had while gathered for Life’s Final Chapter Book Club, we have often referenced our personal grief for the loss of a loved one, our independence, or health. As a follow up to November’s discussion on grief, led by Barbara Sorin, we are offering a grief support group.
A grief support group provides a safe environment for sharing feelings, receiving emotional support, and learning about the grieving process. Grief support reduces the feelings of isolation that many who have experienced a loss are coping with, as well as recognizing there are many ways to grieve no matter when the loss occurred. The group will meet for 6-8 sessions depending on the needs of the group.
We will meet the following Thursdays at 1:30-3:00 PM at the Middletown Free Library.
Thursday, January 23rd at 1:30 – 3:00 PM
Thursday, January 30th at 1:30-3:00 PM
