The Reel Deal: MLK/FBI
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., prominent civil rights advocate and activist, became the target of J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI's surveillance campaign. This was an attempt to tarnish Dr. King's reputation as he increasingly became viewed as a theat. Film director Sam Pollard chronicles these efforts in the documentary, MLK/FBI.
