Medicare 101

If you or a loved one is approaching the age when Medicare will be important to you, this program will be helpful! The sessions are designed to take the mystery out of Medicare. This workshop will be taught by a PA Medicare (MEDI) counselor.MEDI is the free health insurance counseling program designed to help older Pennsylvanians with Medicare. Counselors are specially trained staff and volunteers.
Learn the basics of Medicare parts A, B, C and D. In addition, the presentation explains Medicare terminoloy such as Copays, Coinsurance, Deductibles, Enrollment Special Periods, Medicre Plan Enrollment and Disenrollment, Penalties, Medigap and Supplemental Plans.
This is a Health Literacy Program of the PA Forward Initiative.
