Thanks to a great response, registration for SELLERS is now closed.  You may still regsiter as a BUYER.

The Middletown Free library will be hosting a day where you can come in and take part in a board game auction!

Whether you have games to sell, or you want to buy games, or you want to play games; this is an event for you.

You have to register beforehand to either buy or sell games.

Here are some rules for the event:

Rules for lots

• No reserve, but may start bidding at any whole dollar price you’d like (no cents)
• No buy it now price
• Lots may contain a maximum of ten games
• Sellers are responsible for the games being complete (or to include notation that the game is missing certain pieces), any games sold that turn out not to be complete will returned to the seller and money refunded

Game drop off

• May be made at any time the library is open
• Games will be accepted up until Friday the 27th at 6pm

Rules for bidding

• Minimum $1 increments
• Bids may not be rescinded
• The librarian is not a professional auctioneer, please be patient

Rules for payment

• Buyers may pay by cash, check, credit card, or Venmo
• Sellers will be paid within a week of the end of the auction by check
• 10% of the final bid (rounded up to the nearest dollar) will be donated to the library.
  • The library will collect a minimum of $1 per lot sold
• Any credit card/Venmo fees will be taken off the top of the sale price before money is distributed

Unsold games

• Will be kept for two weeks after the auction before becoming part of the library’s collection
