Inspiring Young Minds – A Community Celebration with Donye' Price
Join us in making a significant impact. Together, we can inspire young minds and celebrate the power of community!
This special community event, featuring Donye' Price, Chester's first female firefighter and the author of the children's book Girls Can Be Firefighters Too!, promises to ignite a passion for reading and empowerment, showcasing endless possibilities for our youth.
Activities Include:
- Storytime with Donye' Price: Dive into the inspiring world of children who dare to dream big.
- Book Signing & Giveaways: Get your copy of Girls Can Be Firefighters Too signed by Donye' Price and participate in book giveaways.
- Fun & Games: Engage in a variety of games and activities for all ages.
- Local Treats: Enjoy delicious Rosati Water Ice and soft pretzels.
- Entertainment: Groove with music spun by our very own DJ Robbie Mac.
Local Vendor Participation:
Local vendors have a unique opportunity to showcase their businesses and connect with the community. Reserve a table by sponsoring 4-8 copies of Girls Can Be Firefighters Too! to be donated to Chester schools. Each donated book will include a nameplate featuring your business or personal name, enhancing your visibility and contributing to a great cause.

This event is more than just a celebration; it is a movement to inspire and empower the next generation. Your participation helps foster a vibrant future for our young minds and strengthens the Chester community.
