Art'n'Craft for Kids: In Monet’s Garden
In the first half of this class led by music and art teacher Svetlana Khmelnitsky, students will listen to a story accompanied by Monet's paintings. In the story, the fairies will "lead" kids through Monet's garden while discovering famous paintings of water lilies and the Japanese Bridge. In addition, children will learn several facts about Impressionism and Monet's life and way of painting. They will also discuss colors and imagery in the presented art.
Based on the discussion, the story they heard, and the paintings they saw, the students will then create a craft with materials provided by Ms. Svetlana which they can take home with them.
For children ages 4 to 9 years.
