Author Visit - Suzanne Stewart

Local author Suzanne Stewart will discuss her historical novel, Under the Moon. The book traces the journey of a young Japanese woman to the sugarcane fields of Hawaii through an arranged marriage. The author will touch upon the background for her novel – the history of the Hawaiian sugar plantations and the Meiji era in Japan.

This is a Basic Literacy Program of the PA Forward Initiative.
