Soothing Symphonies: Sound Meditation for High School Students
Join us for a sound meditation session with a Licensed Social Worker and Sound Healing Practitioner from Riot Alliance! Sound healing is the practice of using sacred instruments like crystal bowls, ocean drums, and gongs to produce different sound frequencies. The soft sounds and vibrations create a soothing environment to help you relax and settle your thoughts. After the session, you'll have the opportunity to explore the instruments and play with them a bit! For students in 9th-12th grades only please.
Eye masks and blankets will be provided but please bring a towel or yoga mat and a small pillow or towel to roll up under your knees if you'd like.
Photography and Video Policy: By registering for or participating in this event, you or those attending with you may be photographed or recorded on video that will be used for library promotional purposes. If you or a member of your group would not like to be photographed, please alert a staff member at the program.
