Books 'N Ballet at Middletown Free Library 10:30AM
Join Miss Libby for a literacy and movement experience at the Middletown Free Library from 10:30AM-11:05AM! We will read some picture books about dance/movement/animals/colors/seasons/shapes/etc., and learn some classical and contemporary dance terminology. Activities vary but can include rhythm, balance, and movement activities, coordination challenges, stretching, improvisation, props, and more! Wear your ballet slippers or sneakers, and some clothes you can dance in! Ballet costume/attire is not required, but is definitely welcome.
Class will be held in the Roosevelt Community Center. See the MFL Library Circulation Desk for the exact classroom location.
Registration is required as space is limited. All genders welcome! Best for ages 3-6, but siblings welcome. Any child younger than age 3 MUST have parent involvement in order to participate.
Please specify the number of children you are registering.
By registering for this event the participant agrees to waive any and all liability and not hold Middletown Free Library or its program instructors liable for any issues that arise related to injury. The registrant understands that there are risks of physical injury associated with, arising out of, and inherent to exercise activities. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. In recognition of this acknowledged risk, the registrant knowingly and voluntarily waives all right and/or causes of action of any kind, including any and all claims of negligence arising as a result of such activity from which liability could accrue to Middletown Free Library and its members, principals, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, trainers, instructors and successors and all related companies of the foregoing, whether known or unknown to the registrant (herein known as the “Indemnified Parties”). The registrant hereby agrees to release the Indemnified Parties ahd hold the Indemnified Parties harmless from all liability whatsoever suffered or incurred by the registrant, and from any claims, demands, and causes of action arising from the registrant's participation in the program, and hereby acknowledge that the registrant knowingly and voluntarily assumes full responsibility for all risks of physical injury arising out of participation in the programs on behalf of the registrant.
