Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services are not only FREE but also a reliable and trusted source for tax return preparation. To schedule an appointment with an IRS-certified tax preparer or to address any questions, please call 610-833-4443.

Here's what you should bring to your appointment:

• Proof of identification (e.g., driver's license, state photo ID, or other government-issued identification with a photo).
• Social Security cards for you, your spouse, and dependents. 
  • Note: To request a replacement card or update your Social Security record, visit Social Security number & card for guidance.
• An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) assignment letter, if applicable, may be used in lieu of a Social Security number for you, your spouse, and dependents.
• Proof of foreign status, if applying for an ITIN.
• Birth dates for you, your spouse, and dependents listed on the tax return.
• Wage and earning statements (e.g., Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc) from all employers.
• Social Security Benefit Statements (SSA-1099), if applicable.
• Interest and dividend statements from banks (Forms 1099).
• Health Insurance Exemption Certificate, if received.
• A copy of last year’s federal and state returns, if available.
• Proof of bank account routing numbers and account numbers for direct deposit, such as a blank check.
• For electronic filing of a married-filing-joint tax return, both spouses must be present to sign the required forms.
• Total payments to daycare providers and the providers' tax identifying numbers (e.g., their Social Security number or business Employer Identification Number).
• Forms 1095-A, B, and C, Health Coverage Statements.
• Copies of income transcripts from the IRS and state, if applicable.
