Ancient History Lecture Series: Greece and Rome Presented by Andrew Miller
Join us as Andrew Miller, Professor at Neumann University, local historian, and author, presents 3 lectures on Ancient Greece and Rome.
1.The Spartans

Ancient Sparta emerged from a small collection of villages to dominate the Greek world. Their invincible army combined with their xenophobia to leave a powerful but short-lived glory.
2.Sparta Vs. Athens: The Peloponnesian War
Thursday, May 16th @ 1 PM
The two most dominant city-states of the Greek world had worked together to defeat the great Persian Empire, but then found that their competing visions and ambitions could not coexist.
3.The Roman War Machine
Thursday, May 23rd @ 1 PM
The Romans developed the greatest Army of the Ancient World, using their legions to conquer and rule an empire stretching from Anatolia to Britannia, and from Egypt to Germania.
