Dark History of Penn's Woods II: Unusual Deaths, Crimes and Hauntings in Southeastern PA Online
This program will be presented both in person and on Zoom by library favorite, Jennifer L. Green, Director of Education at the Chester County History Center.
Based on the popular Dark History I lecture, this program features more true tales of the region's disasters, deaths and tragedies. Learn about the "coffin ships" that brought European immigrants into Philadelphia, and how one tragic crime inspired ghost-hunting mania in Delaware County. Hear about a terrible miscarriage of justice in Media and a dreadful explosion in Chester and more!
This is a Civic and Social Literacy program of the PA Forward Initiative.
