An evening of A Capella Harmony with the DelCHordians Barbershop Quartet
Join us for an evening of entertainment with the DelChordians Barbershop Quartet.
They will perform classics such as "My Wild Irish Rose," "By the Light of the Silvery Moon," and "Coney Island Baby," along with barbershop arrangements of songs that originated outside the realm of barbershop music, including "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "God Bless America." The group's performance will include a brief, entertaining educational presentation on the distinctive structure of barbershop music. Plus, attendees will have an opportunity to sing along!
The DelChordians quartet is a subset of the DelChordians Chorus and the Delaware County chapter of the International "Barbershop Harmony Society." As a chorus and various quartets, they have been entertaining audiences since 1951. This particular “DelChordians Quartet” includes: Phil Lieggi – singing BARITONE and LEAD – has been performing and singing for over 30 years, most of which has been with the Barbershop Harmony Society. Norm Brown – singing LEAD and BARITONE – has been singing in Barbershop style for the past 18 years. Mark Ottinger – singing BASS – is very new to the Barbershop style of singing. Randy Frame – singing TENOR – is also a performing artist who is involved with many plays all around our tri-state area.
