Science in the Summer

GSK Science in the Summer™ – In collaboration with The Franklin Institute

Get ready for a summer of science fun! Join us for a two-day program with two hands-on activities each day. Participants who complete all four activities will earn a free ticket to The Franklin Institute!

Summer 2025 Theme – Be a Health Scientist!

This summer, young scientists will explore how to help people stay healthy and feel better when they are sick. They will dive into big questions like:

  • What can people do to stay healthy?
  • How do germs and diseases spread?
  • What helps people recover when they are sick?

The human body is a complex system with many parts working together to keep us well. When something goes wrong, health scientists step in by:

  • Running tests to find the problem and how to treat it.
  • Using specially designed tools and equipment to help the body work.
  • Making sure the body gets what it needs to stay strong and healthy.

Careers We Will Explore:

  • Athletic Trainer
  • Cardiologist
  • Dietitian
  • Epidemiologist
  • Orthopedic Doctor
